Miguel Caamaño is currently Professor of Financial and Tax Law at the University of A Coruña (Spain), member of the Royal Galician Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, Honorary Member of the Latin American Association of Tax Law, Counselor of the International Institute of European Studies, Honorary Member of the Illustrious Colleges of Economists of Galicia, member of the Association of North America Higher Education International and of the scientific committee of the USA Global Conference on Business and Economics.
Miguel Caamaño has been a professor in the Jean Monnet Chair of European Community Law (1998 to 2005), a visiting professor in the Graduate Tax Program of the Miami Law School (USA, 2013), at the Robert Burch Center of the School of Economics of the University of Berkeley, California (USA, 2015) and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen (Norway, 2018). He has been a member of work and/or research teams at the Italian Universities of Pavia (1992) and Bologna (1998), Paris XII, Saint Maure (1995), Harvard Law School (USA, 2000) and International Boureau of Fiscal Documentation (Amsterdam, 2002).
After having been a Contentious-Administrative Magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice of Galicia during the years 1995 and 1996, he has made academic and university activity compatible with the practice of law, as managing partner of CCS Abogados:
